Is your video or podcast still lacking that extra bang? No worries, we’ll cover you. Our sound engineer whizzes have prepared the ultimate update for weapons sound effects. From rifles, revolvers, bullets (including the cha-ching of casings cluttering to the ground), and various other firearms to bows and arrows, we’ve recorded over 500 new sounds for the Smartsound Cloud collection.
About the sounds
I can’t tell you how much fun they had recording these. Many were shot at in a field, with the guns all lined up. Far from the city, with nothing but grass and the occasional exceptionally startled horse. For the bullet drops, we littered different surfaces with casings to get the sound right for any environment you might need. Many of the new explosions in this batch were designed, giving you a nice big underbelly oomph. We took random sounds, like from gun handling, reloading, and other mechanical gun sounds) and heavily processed them to make all new and highly usable synthesized effects.

What can you use these sounds for?
Of course, there’s your standard action scenes where you might need the sound of bullets ripping out of a muzzle. But also don’t forget that with Smartsound, you can easily layer sounds. Explosions and gun sound effects can all be layered and used out of context, giving a nice emphasis to intros and transitions. Try it out.
