Bark into the action
In a peaceful backyard with a lush green lawn and white picket fence, there was trouble brewing. A shiny red ball was lying at center stage. A rival gang of cats on one side and dogs on the other, each staring intently at the sphere.
The cats, led by Ginger, were a mischievous bunch with twitching whiskers, sharp claws, and wandering gazes approached the ball from one side. Then they exchanged glances, crouched with their shimmering butts high in the air and readied for battle.
On the opposite side, there was a pack of small dogs, displaying a mix of excitement and determination, with high-pitched whines and feverish yaps. They were led by Spike, a tough-looking pug and Coco, a playful miniature poodle.
The cats and dogs locked eyed, sparks of rivalry between them, each group believing the red ball rightfully belonged to them. “Back off Spike!” Ginger hissed. “This ball is ours!”
Spike replied after a few guttural growls, “No way, Ginger, that’s clearly a dog toy.” The tension rose, the cats and dogs yowling and barking at each other. The backyard was to become a battleground, filled with a cacophony of feline and canine sounds.

About the sounds
Last week, we brought you all the mayhem of a construction site. This week, we opted for something much different, and something inarguably much cuter. Our engineers visited their pet-inclined friends and wandered the back alleys and forests in search of cooperative and friendly mammals to take center stage. And the result was a beautiful collection of sounds.
The sounds from our packs of furry actors include, from the cat gang: different meows (Angry, Annoyed, Chatter, etc.) growling, eating, purring; and from the dog gang: barking from various distances and different breeds, eating, drinking, growling, and whimpering.
What can you use these sounds for?
