Destruction & Explosion sound effects

Blow away any sonic limitations in your next project with these crushing high-quality effects.

The old warehouse district was eerily quiet as Jake crept through the abandoned buildings. His target was in the largest warehouse at the end of the row. As Jake approached, he heard angry voices coming from inside. He peered through a broken window and saw his target, a notorious arms dealer, arguing with some shady customers.

Suddenly, an ear-splitting explosion shook the entire building. A fireball erupted, blowing out all the windows and sending a shockwave that knocked Jake off his feet. As he stumbled, the sounds of destruction filled the air – the deafening crashes of collapsing steel beams, the shattering of glass, the crunching of wood splintering into pieces.

A car came flying through the wall of the warehouse, crashing onto the concrete and bursting into flames. Secondary explosions went off, louder and more powerful than the first. The arms dealer’s hideout was being demolished before Jake’s eyes in a spectacular display of pyrotechnics and demolition.

About the Sounds

Our previous upload was full of public ambiences where our recordists went searching about places like industrial sites, shipping ports, and airports, dodging wrecking balls, forklifts and the like. They definitely weren’t able to relax at all for this week’s upload, either, with explosions and destruction being the theme.

This new sound effects library captures the sounds of total destruction and mayhem. It includes high-quality recordings of explosions, from standard fiery blasts to sci-fi plasma explosions and water-based detonations. You’ll also find the sounds of debris – glass shattering, metal twisting and dropping, wood crunching and pounding, and buildings crumbling. Car crash effects, hammer impacts, and other destruction sounds are included. Many of the explosions were designed for added intensity and impact, so hold onto your browsers when listening to these. They are all delivered in 24-bit 96kHz resolution for the highest quality.
