I received a copyright claim on YouTube due to one of your tracks. What do I do?

First of all, this is nothing you need to worry about. If you have properly licensed the project during a subscription, there is nothing illegal about the use of the music. You should dispute the claim by going through YouTube’s dispute process, entering “Smartsound Cloud” as a reason. This should be enough to drop the claim. You can click here to watch a video to learn more about the process or click here to read the detailed process.

Some of Smartsound Cloud’s catalog is licensed on a non-exclusive basis by composers who also submit it to other venues. Sometimes, these venues upload the music into YouTube’s Content ID system even though they are not allowed to do so, which causes the false claims. But don’t worry about this, as they are easy enough to dispute.
