Free stock music to all and to all a good night!
You may have noticed a new banner showing up at the top of the screen on every page. That big, wide green beauty – and also that new green button at the top – highlights a new plan for our stock music and sounds: the FREE plan.
FREE FREE?
It means we’ve decided to create a tier of stock music and sound effects that costs absolutely nothing. And though we’ve always let you tinker around with the app for free, now we are also going to let you use tracks in their full capacity in your personal projects for free too.
That means you can upload your video and design your music in our app. Then download it and add it into your preferred program. No royalties to worry about, no strings attached.
Just use it as you would if you were a full member.
Post your project on YouTube, Tumbler, TikTok, Facebook, wherever, and rest assured you have full royalty free privileges for the tracks you are using, forever.
THERE’S NO CATCH
There really is no catch. There are some limitations though.
The full catalog isn’t available for free use. We’ve gone through and selected a listing of 1,000 tracks and 10,000 sound effects that you can use for free. The tracks are all modern and cutting-edge, many from our latest albums even. They are from all genres and styles, so that you can undoubtedly find something that you can use for your next project.
The biggest catch is you’ll have to sign up for an account. Which really isn’t a catch, this just lets you create and save your projects so that you can download them at any time.
To do this, click on the login button at the top right of the screen. Then follow the instructions under CREATE A FREE ACCOUNT.
HOW TO FIND THE FREE STOCK MUSIC TRACKS
Each of those tracks is marked with a FREE sign just to the right of the name.
If you want to only find the free stock music tracks and sound effects to begin with, make sure the filter bar at the top is set to FREE and then you can start your search.
Look at the SEARCH MUSIC box on the top left and type in your search criteria. Then move down to DESIRED TRACK LENGTH and set FULL or CUSTOM. By default it’s set to CUSTOM at 30 seconds. You can change the length of your track at any point later, too.
Under Track BPM, you can set the filter to only find projects that fit the tempo of your project.
You can then use further tags under BROWSE MUSIC FILTERS.
Look at the revealed tracks and find the one that suits your purposes. Then click on the plus sign at the other end of the track name. This will add the track to the timeline below. You can edit the mix with the panel to the left, or click and drag the track to change its length.

HOW TO FIND THE FREE STOCK SOUND EFFECTS
Finding the free stock effects is as easy as the music. Under the SEARCH box, there are two buttons. One says MUSIC and the other says SOUND EFFECTS. Click on the SOUND EFFECTS option. You have a long list of SFX categories to choose from, or you can write your own in the SEARCH box.
Above the search results, you’ll see a slider that says ALL and FREE. Make sure that it’s set to FREE.
HOW TO EXPORT THE TRACK
When your track is ready to export, just make sure you are logged in. On the top left, you’ll find the EXPORT button. Press that and you’ll see two options: DOWNLOAD PREVIEW and CHECKOUT PROJECT.
The CHECKOUT PROJECT button issues the royalty free license that you can use to prove you have legal rights to the track if it ever comes up. The DOWNLOAD PREVIEW option is for when you are using non-free tracks. You can download a watermarked track and see how it fits with your work in your main project editor. There’s no real point in using this for the free tracks though.
WHERE CAN I USE IT?
You can use these stock music tracks and sound effects anywhere you need them. That includes any video projects, podcasts, anything and anywhere. They are 100% royalty free, and they cost you nothing to use. You can only use them on personal projects though, and not projects you are working on for other people (for which you’d need a BUSINESS license).
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
Easy! Just hit that login button on the top right. Enter your email and set your password and that’s it. The app can save your projects so you can use them later, and it can save all your favorite tracks as well.
