Our student heroes are fresh off their fencing practice, but blades still ring off from behind them, puncturing their conversation with emphatic thrusts. Discussing their classes, they fail to notice the villain grabbing a foil and coming up behind them. Just in time, a hero raises their own to parry, while thrusting their shoulder into the villain’s chest.
Sports are ever-present in our lives. Some sports are in the everyday, but others are practiced only by the elite or niche artists. But where it’s more niche, the more you need help capturing the right sound.
About the sounds
Out last upload of 500 sounds featured more common sports like tennis and football. We now enter the world of universities, HEMA, Renaissance faires and places more niche, interesting, and hidden. With this latest upload, our sound engineers pioneered their sonic whims through gyms, fencing clubs, archery fields, boxing rings and bicycle rides to create for you the best impacts, nocks, tire slides you can find.
Here we present to you 500 new sportive sounds, from fencing foils and boxing bags, to mountain bikes, zipping arrows, scratching ice skates, and gym workouts. These are all recorded in high-quality in dry environments, so they’re ready to be used. Add a touch of reverb to match your setting and you’ll have dodged the next punch of unrealistic scenes.
What can you use these sounds for?
Sports sound effects are always needed for sports, this is true. But like many of our other sounds, these are also fantastic for layering. Adding an extra scrape or thud can give a lot of benefits of texture to a sound.
