Sound effects for board games

Let the dice roll with our latest upload of sound effects.

A tense discussion over a chess match full of click-clacking piece movements. The undercover agent eyeing his target across the blackjack table, with cards shuffling and skidding across the green. Kids playing Dungeons and Dragons before fighting the evil monster in the mirror universe, tossing the dice. It’s capturing moments like these when you need real scene immersion. Without the accompanying sounds – chips falling, dice rolling, cards shuffling – the scene will fall flat.

About the sounds

Within the corners and folds of our latest pack of 500 sound effects, there are all the click-clacking sounds you need to emulate the audio artifacts of board games in your projects. Unlike in our last pack of designed sounds for cinema, here we’ve aimed at getting the highest realism and clarity possible, recorded in our studios here in Mainz.

Our aim was to create a royalty free sound effects pack that included all the sounds you’d need to assist in filming scenes with modern board games. The pack includes foley sounds such as meeple movements, poker chips, and shaking, rubbing and rolling dice.

What can you use these sounds for?

Our new foley board games sound effects can of course be used to supplement any scenes with board games. They are the perfect sounds especially for vlogs that cover games and gambling. But not just that: The sounds included make great sounds for layering, if you’re looking to do some design of transitions and impacts, poker chips and meeple movements can be great layers to add a touch of further complexity.

We release new sound effects for Smartsound Cloud every two weeks. Check back here to find out about our next batch.
